Staithes Rising
I took the above image of the staithes rising above the incoming tide at the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, Northumberland UK yesterday. The timber staithes are the remains of an old jetty in front of Lindisfarne Castle (view more example here).
The long-exposure shot gives an other-worldly feel to the image.
Settings
Exposure: 30 sec at f/22 (using a 10-stop ND filter; mounted on tripod; Image Stabilisation (IS) turned off)
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
ISO Speed Rating: ISO 100
Focal Length: 93 mm (149 mm equivalent with x1.6 crop factor)
Post-production
White Balance: Set temperature for cooler blues and added a slight magenta tint
Presence: Increased Clarity and reduced both overall Vibrance and Saturation
Colour Saturation: Increased saturation of red and orange
Effects: Added a vignette
