Snow composed sheep
Continuing the snow shots theme, the above is a recent photo of composed sheep in the fields above Powburn, Northumberland UK.
COMPOSED
adjective: calm
verb: made or formed by having combined things parts or elements
Settings
Exposure: 1/800 sec at f/5.6 (handheld with Image Stabilisation (IS) turned on, although IS at this shutter speed is not needed. I needed such a fast shutter speed owing to the ‘glare’ of reflected light from the snow. f/5.6 allowed me to blur the sheep in the background – but not so much that it became unrecognisable.)
Exposure Bias: 2/3 EV (stops the snow turning grey)
ISO Speed Rating: ISO 200
Focal Length: 135 mm (216 mm equivalent with x1.6 crop factor)
